orchardgrass

Highly productive, cool-season grass.

Orchardgrass is a bunch-type, tall-growing, cool-season perennial grass used in pastures, hay and silage. It is a very productive cool-season grass, tolerant to shade, fairly drought resistant with moderate winter hardiness. Orchardgrass is very palatable making it the ideal choice for horse owners. Orchardgrass can be grown alone or with other grass or legumes such as alfalfa, red clover, and white clover.

We are continually developing varieties that produce more forage, have increased disease resistances, and higher forage quality. When you buy a Mountain View Seeds variety you can be assured that it has been extensively tested at Universities and on farms. Our broad research and testing policy means you only get the best.
