Mountain View Seeds is now hiring a Warehouse & Truck Driving Generalist at our Salem, Oregon location.
This position plays an important role in safely and efficiently transferring finished goods from one location to another in support of the supply chain. As part of Pratum Co-op, this role helps carry out our mission of providing innovative agricultural solutions, excellent service, and long-term relationships.
The Warehouse & Truck Driving Generalist supports both warehouse and transportation needs, including freight handling, inventory accuracy, order staging, equipment operation, and driving curtain van trucks and other transport configurations as directed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating forklifts and other technical lift equipment
- Loading outbound freight and unloading inbound freight
- Picking, wrapping, and staging orders for shipment
- Ensuring proper inventory placement and assisting with cycle counts
- Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Performing maintenance and safety checks on lift equipment
- Safely driving loaded and empty curtain van trucks
- Completing pre- and post-trip inspections, driver logs, invoices, and other required paperwork
- Identifying safety hazards and reporting concerns to the warehouse manager
- Assisting with other warehouse support duties as assigned
This position is a great fit for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly, safely, and accurately stack and unstack pallets and bulk boxes, contribute to a positive team culture, and be willing to work overtime during busy seasons.
